Key areas of responsibility:

• Provide a professional occupational health within a legal, ethical framework, to ensure a healthy, productive workforce.
• Ensure appropriate staff deployment, in accordance with the risk to which employees may be exposed, and the inherent
  requirements of the positions to which they are assigned.
• Schedule and co-ordinate of medical fitness assessments.
• Management and appropriate referrals of injuries on duties and ID statistics.
• Provide professional advice to line management with regard to occupational health issues.
• Assist with the development and implementation of health policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with all relevant
  legal requirements.
• Build and maintain conducive relationships with all stakeholders and healthcare providers.
• Ensure accurate and timeous reporting of occupational health issues.
• Compiling monthly statistics and reports (lost time injuries).
• Manage the operational health clinic budget and expenditures.
• Assist with wellness campaigns e. lifestyle issues (smoking cessation, Diabetes, HIV, Hypertension, TB).
• Coordinate peer educator programme.

Qualifying requirements:

• General Nursing Diploma / Degree
• Certificate / Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing
• Current registration with the NHPC
• Code B Driver’s License
• Computer Literacy (MS Office)
• At least 5 years’ experience in an Occupational Health Environment
• TB Course, STI Course and HIV / AIDS Counselling preferred
