Key areas of responsibility:

• Effective strategic leadership and support to the Engineering department’s employees.
• Strategic Asset management with the aim to optimize equipment life in relation to cost and reliability.
• Overseeing effective contract management for various services rendered.
• Subordinate management and development.
• Ensure Compliance to all statutory requirements.
• Ensure development and management of department budget.
• Ensure management of all strategic and maintenance related projects.
• Plant fleet management

Qualifying requirements:

• B.Eng., B-Tech Degree in Engineering, preferably (Electrical/Mechanical),
• Minimum 10 years post graduate working experience with 5 years in mining,
• Minimum of two years senior management experience
• Project management qualification would be beneficial,
• HSE Standards Proficiency essential,
• Excellent interpersonal management skills.
